Zionism; Zionist

Zionism is an ideology seeking to establish a Jewish national homeland. The political Zionism we see prevalent today stems from the thinking of Theodor Herzl, who looked to histories of colonization, including in the Americas, as guides for creating such a homeland in the form of a state. A ‘Zionist’ refers to a person who follows the ideological thinking of Zionism.
